The interior design process varies depending upon the type of service you select. Whether you are busy and need a professional to handle all the details of your design project, you are embarking on new home construction or renovation, you just need some advice on a few problem areas or you aren't located in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, I am happy to assist you. DESIGN SERVICES
Listed below are the multiple service options I offer depending upon the scope of your project. Please contact me to schedule a complimentary discovery call so we may discuss the service that best meets your needs.
FULL-SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN
Full-Service Interior Design is my specialty. The design process begins with a complimentary phone call to discuss your project and its scope. Next, I conduct an initial consultation in person to see the space, take measurements and take photographs of the areas to be designed. This could include a whole home, several rooms or a single room. We will discuss your goals, your budget and your lifestyle in this programming phase. I will also gather information to develop a design concept and create a scope of work outlining the overall plan. Next, you will be presented with the scope of work and schematic designs before I begin finalizing space plans and working drawings, as well as researching selections. Our next meeting will be conducted as a presentation where we will establish selections and discuss any revisions which need to be made. After this meeting, I will create an invoice of the established selections. Upon your payment, I will begin placing orders, scheduling installers and arranging deliveries during the project management phase. Finally, the design comes full circle with the installation and I inspect the work to ensure it meets my standards and your satisfaction. This service is billed hourly at $125 per hour during the initial phases and switches to a flat fee once project management begins.
NEW CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATION CONSULTATION
Builders and Interior Designers approach new home construction and renovation from different perspectives; both offer great value to the homeowner, especially when collaboration occurs from the beginning of the project. Whether it's designing a wall of built-ins or a breakfast nook, I love seeing opportunities to create unique solutions in ways that enhance what builders and remodelers are doing that flow with the existing phases of construction. Allowing me to begin assisting you at the pre-construction phase aids you in making the best selections for the long-term and keeps the building timeline on track. From flooring, countertops and tile design to hardware, finishes and fixtures, I help clients create a cohesive and timeless framework for their home. The design process begins with a complimentary phone call to discuss your project and its scope. Next, I will meet you in your home or on site to review construction documents. We will discuss your goals, your lifestyle and your materials allowance in this programming phase. I will also gather information to develop a design concept and create a scope of work outlining the overall plan. Next, you will be presented with the scope of work and schematic designs before I begin finalizing any working drawings, as well as researching selections. Our next meeting will be conducted as a presentation where we will establish selections and discuss any revisions which need to be made before presenting them to your builder. This service is billed hourly at $200 per hour.

In addition, you will have access to design industry trade-only furnishings, custom upholstery and window treatments, a wide selection of hand-applied furniture finishes, custom and made-to-measure rugs and an endless array of designer fabrics which means your home design project will result in a one-of-a-kind interior. Signature details distinguish the homes of full-service interior design clients. You will not only receive a bespoke home interior, but also enjoy a personalized design experience.

Subsequently, you will be presented with the scope of work and a letter of agreement for approval before I begin creating schematic designs, as well as researching selections during the design development phase.

Our next meeting will be conducted as a presentation where we will establish selections and discuss any revisions which need to be made. After this meeting, I will create space plans and working drawings using our established selections.

Upon your approval of the plans and drawings, I will create an invoice for the established selections. Once I receive payment, I will begin placing orders, scheduling installers and arranging deliveries during the project management phase.

When you need assistance selecting from your builder's fixture and finish offerings, I will either independently visit or join you in visiting their design center or their preferred vendor showrooms.

Finally, I will meet with you and your builder to go over our plans and if you required additional services, we will schedule our next meeting.
NEW CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATION CONSULTATION
Consultation services are for clients who mainly need advice or help with retail purchases, but may also include window treatment and upholstery design. When you are interested in purchasing your home furnishings independently or have existing pieces and just need help with a plan for arranging furniture or with making choices on a few updates, this is the best option for you. Paint color and wallpaper selection, choosing and styling accessories along with selecting and arranging wall decor also fall under this category. Clients who have decided to downsize to independent, active adult or assisted living alleviate the stress of this move with our transition design consultation services. Home sellers use this service to stage their homes and make them more appealing to prospective buyers. Home buyers find this service helpful in creating a plan for using existing furnishings in their new home.

Next, I will meet you in your home for a two-hour consultation and go over the list of spaces you need assistance with.

We will walk through your space as I take notes and make design suggestions.

You will receive a detailed list of the notes taken and the suggestions made on site that will be emailed to you after the consultation.

If your project requires additional time to complete or additional services such as assistance with selecting new furnishings or a scaled furniture plan, we will discuss options such as a shopping day together, E-Design and scaled furniture plan pricing.
INTERIOR DESIGN CONSULTATION
DIGITAL DESIGN
For clients who do not live in the Charlotte area or for those who require a design plan to implement at their convenience, Digital Design service is the solution.

Once you fill out and submit the Digital Design questionnaire, the design process begins when I contact you to clarify details and request additional measurements and photos during a complimentary discovery phone call.

Within approximately two weeks, you will be provided with two digital inspiration boards and an interactive tool to approve and reject selections.

After selections have been established, you will be provided with an Digital Design package including the finalized digital inspiration board, a product list and a room guide with notes on implementing the project.

You will have two weeks from the time of receiving your Digital Design package to correspond digitally with questions regarding the design at no charge. After that time, additional charges will apply for design services.
